311 Reno, NV Posters

311 just kicked off their Endless Summer tour and we’re excited to share our poster for the first stop of the tour in Reno, Nevada. We were inspired by the summer surf van vibes of the tour and created an illustration of our favorite surf-mobile along with a kook-stack of boards on the roof for all five band members.

The poster is a 24” x 18” three color screen print on 100 lb Classic Crest Cream paper, and a variant edition of 10pt rainbow foil. We produced four separate color variations in total, with two exclusive to the DKNG store. Check out our initial concept sketch below along with close up photos of the finished prints, and a time-lapse video documenting our process of designing the poster. The 311 posters will be available Tuesday, July 24th, at 10am PST in the DKNG store. Very limited quantities available.

Adobe 'Learn Illustrator' Illustration

When Adobe launched Illustrator CC with its new ability to zoom in to your composition further than ever before, they commissioned us to create a hyper detailed illustration to demonstrate the new feature. That illustration of an astronaut inside his futuristic cockpit continues to make appearances in various Adobe tutorials including the current Illustrator launch screen. Almanac Beer Co. Nectarine Cobbler

Almanac Beer Co.’s new Nectarine Cobbler is packed with fruit flavor, so we found it only fitting that a larger than life nectarine should take center stage in our latest label design for the brewery. Almanac prides itself on using fresh produce from local farmers so we were inspired to create an Almanac-centric farm where agriculture and brewing come together. Nectarine Cobbler is a sour blonde ale aged in oak barrels with nectarines, peaches, and spices.

Nectarine Cobbler is now available at the Almanac Taproom in San Francisco, the new Almanac Brewery in Alameda, and available throughout the country wherever finer beers are sold.

From Almanac:

“Nectarine Cobbler is our version of dessert in a glass. We started with yellow nectarines from Blossom Bluff Orchards, grown in high-summer along the banks of King’s River in California’s Central Valley. Four pounds of juicy stone fruit was added to each gallon of sour blonde ale and aged in oak barrels. We spiced the blend with cinnamon, ginger, coriander, and vanilla bean to recall the aroma of a freshly baked nectarine cobbler resting on the windowsill. Pair this autumn delight with mom’s baked desserts, Indian curries, and holiday gatherings.”

Doritos Art Print

Last year we had the privilege of working on a project for one of America’s most beloved brands…Doritos. The team at Doritos was looking for a fun way to thank their loyal fans throughout the country, and tapped DKNG to make a limited edition Doritos themed art print that would be sent out to their select group of product testers. The print features a vintage Doritos delivery truck navigating an environment made entirely of Doritos products. The print is a five color screen print on French Speckletone Madero Beach. The print is sadly not available for sale to the public, but you can check out our process video of the making of the print as well as our initial sketch and close up photos below.
