Almanac Beer Co. Nectarine Cobbler

Almanac Beer Co.’s new Nectarine Cobbler is packed with fruit flavor, so we found it only fitting that a larger than life nectarine should take center stage in our latest label design for the brewery. Almanac prides itself on using fresh produce from local farmers so we were inspired to create an Almanac-centric farm where agriculture and brewing come together. Nectarine Cobbler is a sour blonde ale aged in oak barrels with nectarines, peaches, and spices.

Nectarine Cobbler is now available at the Almanac Taproom in San Francisco, the new Almanac Brewery in Alameda, and available throughout the country wherever finer beers are sold.

From Almanac:

“Nectarine Cobbler is our version of dessert in a glass. We started with yellow nectarines from Blossom Bluff Orchards, grown in high-summer along the banks of King’s River in California’s Central Valley. Four pounds of juicy stone fruit was added to each gallon of sour blonde ale and aged in oak barrels. We spiced the blend with cinnamon, ginger, coriander, and vanilla bean to recall the aroma of a freshly baked nectarine cobbler resting on the windowsill. Pair this autumn delight with mom’s baked desserts, Indian curries, and holiday gatherings.”

Almanac Beer Co. Peach Galaxy

The much anticipated fruit forward brother of Almanac’s Tropical Galaxy is here, and we were honored to put a peachy spin on the packaging! Peach Galaxy is a dry-hopped sour farmhouse ale aged in oak barrels with peaches and spices. The Almanac galaxy series of beers inspired us to pursue a 1960s sci-fi style of illustration, and this new twist on the label includes plenty of new peach inspired touches as well as a new peach color scheme. You can check out our original Tropical Galaxy label here.

Peach Galaxy is now available at the Almanac Taproom in San Francisco, the new Almanac Brewery in Alameda, and available throughout the country wherever finer beers are sold.

From Almanac:

“Peach Galaxy is an intergalactic flavor odyssey! This stellar brew started with a blend of farmhouse Brettanomyces ales fermented with our house sour culture and aged in oak barrels. Next, 6,000 lbs of organic yellow peaches from Blossom Bluff Orchards in Northern California were added to the barrels to mature for several months. The beer was finished with a touch of coriander and a heavy cosmic dry-hop of Galaxy and Citra. The finished beer has an IPA-style aroma, backed by tart peach skin flavors and hints of gummy rings. Pair this out-of-this-world elixir with grilled ribs, ceviche, and peach coffee cake.”

Phish Alpharetta, GA Posters

This past weekend, Phish performed two nights of sold out shows at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park in Alpharetta, GA, and we were thrilled to design a diptych poster set for the gig. While the two brontosauruses depicted might not be native residents of Georgia, they are enjoying the state’s famous peaches as they face off against each other.

Each poster is an 18” x 24” four color screen print on French Construction Cement Green paper with a super limited artist edition of 50 available for sale. Check out a video documenting the design process below as well as our initial sketch and close up photos of the finished prints. The two posters are now available in the DKNG store.
