DKNG + Mondo Official Gremlins Pin Set

As children of the ‘80s, we grew up with the movie Gremlins and were thrilled to partner with Mondo to produce an officially licensed set of three enamel pins commemorating the movie. The series includes Gizmo in three iconic scenes including Showtime (Gizmo sings for the first time while playing the piano), Uh Oh (Gizmo hiding inside the motorcycle helmet), and Beep Beep (Gizmo behind the wheel in the Malibu Barbie toy convertible).

The Gremlins soft enamel pins all include a copper die cast finish, and heavy duty rubber backing clasps. Available individually or as of set of three at a special rate. Check out photos of the pins below by the talented Wonderful Mystical. The Gremlins pins are now available in the DKNG Store

Leon Bridges Los Angeles, CA Poster

One of our favorites, Leon Bridges, came through Los Angeles on his current tour and we were happy to create the official poster for his show at the historic Greek Theatre. Leon has a signature, vintage aesthetic that we attempted to capture in the scene of a midcentury California fuel station.

The poster is a 24” x 18” 5-color screen print which includes a split-fountain blend in the sky. It’s printed on French Paper Co. Kraft-Tone Index Off-White 100lb cover stock, with a limited artist edition of 50 prints. Check out close up photos of the print below, along with our initial concept sketch and a process video of the poster’s creation. The Leon Bridges Los Angeles poster will be available in the DKNG Store on Monday, September 17, at 10am PST.

Jack White California Posters

Jack White is currently touring the US in support of his new album, Boarding House Reach, and we were happy to take on the poster duties for three of his California shows. For his first night in San Francisco, we did our take on a classic rusted-out hull of a car, set ablaze with Jack White blue flames. For night two in SF, we were inspired by Jack’s lyrics, combining a leather boot along with three birds lacing it up. Lastly, for Jack’s stop in Bakersfield, we took on a set of traditional locks and keys, with some Jack reference hidden throughout their decorative inlays.

Each poster in the series is an 18” x 24” three-color screen print on Classic Crest Epic Black 100 lb cover stock, with signed and numbered editions of 420 for each of the San Francisco shows, and 291 for the Bakersfield show. Check out our initial sketches below along with closeup photos of each print, as well as process videos for SF Night 2 and Bakersfield. All three Jack White posters go on sale in the DKNG store on Tuesday, August 21, at 9am Pacific Time.

The Decemberists 2017 Tour Poster

The Decemberists just took the West Coast by storm and we were happy to be tasked with creating a poster for the tour. We were inspired by Pacific Northwest road-tripping and the giant Sequoias and Redwoods that line the coast.

The poster is an 18” x 24” three color screen print on French Speckletone Madero Beach 100lb cover stock, with a signed and numbered edition of 950. Check out our initial concept sketch below along with close-up photos of the finished prints, as well as a video documenting our process of designing the poster. Bank of America Student Survival Guide

It’s that time of year again when freshman head off to college for the first time. To help them out, we worked with Bank of America on an Instagram-based ad campaign featuring 15 illustrated tips for students as they embark on their college career. One challenge of the project was to strike a playful tone without feeling like the ads were directed to children as opposed to college students. The solution came in depicting students as both humans and animals interacting with each in some typical and not-so-typical campus situations. The full series of ads appears below along with a few of our initial sketches and mockups. You can also check out the campaign on Bank of America’s Instagram and Facebook channels.
