Mumford & Sons Colorado Poster

Mumford & Sons just played Greenwood Village, Colorado, and we took inspiration from the Colorado mountains for the official poster for the show. In addition to the idyllic location, we also wanted to capture the effortless power of the band’s sound, through a larger than life bison carved into the mountainside.

The poster is an 18” x 24” three color screen print on French Kraft-Tone Manila 100 lb cover stock, with a limited artist edition of 75 prints. Check out close up photos of the poster below along with our initial concept sketch, and a video documenting our design process. The Mumford & Sons Colorado poster will be available Friday, August 16th, at 7am PST in the DKNG Store.

Dave Matthews Band Bristow, VA Poster

For our latest poster for Dave Matthews Band for a show in Bristow, VA, some fitting inspiration seemed to be the band’s song "Virginia in the Rain”. We were inspired by the lyrics Come on let’s go there, let’s jump right in, We will rope swing to river swim, Virginia naked in the rain. Based on that sentiment, we created a fantastical world for a couple to swim, complete with their very own rope swing.

The poster is an 18” x 24” four-color screen print on Cougar Natural 100 lb cover stock. Check out a few close-up photos of the finished prints below, along with our initial concept sketch, and a video covering our design process. The Dave Matthews Band Bristow, VA poster is available in a very limited artist edition of 60 prints in the DKNG Store. Due to the limited nature, the sale is restricted to only one print per customer, and once the poster sells out it will not be available in the future. The Bristow poster goes on sale at 9am PST on Friday, July 26.

The Decemberists 2017 Tour Poster

The Decemberists just took the West Coast by storm and we were happy to be tasked with creating a poster for the tour. We were inspired by Pacific Northwest road-tripping and the giant Sequoias and Redwoods that line the coast.

The poster is an 18” x 24” three color screen print on French Speckletone Madero Beach 100lb cover stock, with a signed and numbered edition of 950. Check out our initial concept sketch below along with close-up photos of the finished prints, as well as a video documenting our process of designing the poster. Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals Live in San Francisco

It’s been seven years since Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals have performed together, and we were honored to create a poster series for their inaugural shows of 2015. The band will be touring throughout the year and kicked off their first four-night run at San Francisco’s historic Fillmore. We were inspired by the animalistic power of the band’s music and chose one animal to represent each night’s show, towering over the bay area’s landscape.

Each poster is a 12” x 24” five-color screen print on French Speckletone Madero Beach. Check out some close up photos of the finished posters below as well as our initial sketches. We also created a process video for the project complete with a glimpse into the printing process at Monolith Press. These posters are now available in the DKNG Store. We will also be releasing an art print series of each animal illustration in the coming months.

Jack White Live in Charlotte

Jack White // Charlotte, NC poster by DKNG

We’re excited to announce the latest poster we’ve created for the legendary Jack White for his June 5 show in Charlotte, North Carolina. Jack is currently touring in support of his new album Lazaretto. Taking inspiration from some of the album’s lyrics, we were inspired by the title track’s opening line “my veins are blue and connected,” and created the resulting dual image.

Official Lazaretto Music Video

The poster is a two-color screen print on French Construction Blacktop paper. The print is unique in that it includes a separate split-fountain on each layer creating the blended gradients that span the design. Check out a few closeup images of the poster below as well as our original sketch. The poster is now available in the DKNG Store.
