Jack White Live In Scotland

↳ Click on or rollover the image above for a magnified view

As fan's of living guitar legend Jack White, we were thrilled to create a concert poster for the Edinburgh show of his current European tour.  Taking cues from some of Jack's recent work, we depicted him on one side of a coin and the mythical unicorn from Scotland's coat of arms on the other.  Check out Jack's "I'm Shakin" video below to see how we were inspired to create the central eye between the two coins.

The print is a 24" x 18" three-color screen print with an edition of 250.  The blue and silver inks are both metallic with a black overlay as the third color.  Check out our initial sketch, some detail images below. The print goes on sale TODAY, November 9, in our online store.

Weird Al "White & Nerdy" Art Prints

↳ Click on the image above for a high res version

On Friday, March 9th, Gallery 1988 Melrose opened its second annual "Is This Thing On?" exhibit, where 100 artists created paintings, prints, sculptures and one-of-a-kind plush all based on their favorite comedians.

In addition, this year the gallery commissioned 9 different artists to pay tribute to "Weird Al" Yankovic, the greatest song parodist of all-time, by creating a career retrospective screenprint set, where each chronicle the major moments from the legend's career. We were fortunate enough to be one of the participating artists. We created a limited edition screen printed set celebrating Weird Al's song "White & Nerdy", a parody of Chamillionaire's "Ridin". To catch you up to speed, check out Weird Al's music video below:

We created four different color ways for the show, each a three color screen print, celebrating nerd culture through the eyes of Weird Al. The version printed on black paper was printed with metallic gold ink and has an edition of 80. We have a very limited amount of these prints now available in our online store. Below are images of the three other color ways along with some close up shots of the actual print for sale.
