Explosions In The Sky

Telescope Art Print

It's that moment you've all been waiting for. A couple months back we created a gig poster for Explosions in the Sky, and we mentioned that we would be coming out with an art print version of the poster shortly after. Well, as promised, above is the art print entitled Telescope.

The 24"x18" two color screen print has an edition of 200 and is now available in our online store.

Below are some close up shots of the the physical print.

It's a bit later than we promised, but it was worth the wait. The art print version of our Explosions In The Sky gig poster is finally here! We made some subtle changes to the piece, beyond the obvious removal of the text. The art itself showcases the fireflies a bit more, so we naturally decided to name this piece "Lightning Bugs".

The 18"x24" three color screen print has an edition of 200 and is available now in our online store for $50. We also created a process video for the EITS gigposter which you can view below along with close up shots of the actual print.

Above is our most recent gig poster, created for the very talented band Explosions In The Sky. This is the second poster we've made for them, and after the high praise we received from our first poster, we knew we had a lot to live up to.

The print is a three color screen print packed full of hefty halftoning. To give you an idea of how each layer was made check out each separation below.

The show poster is now available in our online store. Only a small handful are available, so act fast. We will be releasing an art print version of the poster, which will include updated artwork, sometime next month. Below are some close up shots of the physical print

Explosions In The Sky Poster and Art Print

It's always been a dream of ours to create an Explosions In The Sky poster. So when we were asked to create one for their recent Minneapolis show, we knew we had to knock it out of the park. The idea behind the poster came from an interview in which the band was described as having a "Mammoth Sound".

The poster is a 24″ x 18″ two color print screen print on 80 lb. French Speckletone "Sand". We decided to also print an art print version (sans the text).

Below is an image of the art print, some close-up shots of the poster, as well as our original sketch of the design. We also created a process video showing the creation of the design from sketch to completion.
