Psycho Poster Pre-Sale
Our running series of officially licensed art prints featuring iconic cinematic homes takes a more sinister turn this year with the introduction of the Bates Motel and house from Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller masterpiece - Psycho. This print was a new challenge getting all of the relevant elements of the location - the house, the motel, its sign, and the classic car in the parking lot - all into a cohesive composition. Of course we sprinkled in plenty of easter eggs of who and what might be taking place during Marion Crane’s fateful stay at the Bates Motel. But no spoilers here! We wouldn’t want to upset Mother.
The Psycho posters are 24” x 18” four-color screen prints with three super limited artist editions - the regular edition on 100lb French Index Off-White stock has a limited edition of 100 prints, the variant monochrome edition on White Swirl Foil has a limited edition of 50 prints, and the art print, sans logo, on rainbow foil, has a limited edition of 25. All three artist editions are signed and numbered by DKNG. Check out our initial sketch below along with closeup images of the prints, and a time lapse video documenting our creation process.
The Psycho prints will be available in the DKNG store starting at a random time on Tuesday, June 16. Posters are scheduled to ship by end of July, we’ll provide shipping updates via email as they become available. Thanks to our friends at Bottleneck Gallery for partnering with us on this one.
