Star Wars + DKNG

This year we had the amazing opportunity to work on two projects for the much anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens. A Force for Change is the charitable arm of the Star Wars franchise and along with director J.J. Abrams, A Force for Change partnered with Gallery 1988 in L.A. to create Art Awakens, a campaign in which new art pieces based on the Star Wars universe were sold with proceeds benefiting UNICEF. The campaign launched at Disney’s D23 convention in Anaheim earlier this year where our first print premiered - a 20” x 20” metal print with a limited edition of 150 that were exclusively available at D23 and through the gallery.

The second piece we created is an 18” x 24" five-color screen print that recently premiered at Gallery 1988 along with six other printed editions as well as dozens of original pieces by a range of talented artists. “Resistance X-Wing” depicts the brand new X-Wing fighter from the new film, flying just above the surface of the ocean with outer space reflected in the water. “Resistance X-Wing” was exclusively available at Gallery 1988 but you can check out close up photos of both prints below as well as our initial sketches and photos from both D23 and the Art Awakens gallery show opening.
