Here are some very imaginative shots by photographer Tim MacPherson. When I came across them I instantly became nostalgic and missed the days as a kid when I would make forts out of chairs and sheets with my little sister. The Philadelphia Zoo is currently holding an exhibition featuring endangered animals constructed out of legos. The artist, Sean Kenney, used over 95,000 lego pieces and spent over a year creating the 34 displayed animals. The goal of the exhibit is to educate children of the importance of these fading animals and the precarious state of ecosystems. To read more on…

This great stop-motion has been floating around for a little while but worth a look if you haven’t seen it yet. The use of unconventional materials is brilliant. It took home a 2009 Sundance award.

While browsing Behance.net, I ran across these beautiful images. I wasn’t sure at first what I was looking at, but it reminded me of a snap shot of very condensed smoke. In fact, these are simply photographs of varnish dropping into a fish bowl. Enjoy.
