It’s always a breath of fresh air when we get the opportunity to do a cool project outside the music industry, especially when it’s for film.

Martin McDonagh’s Seven Psychopaths will be in theaters this Friday, October 12th. McDonagh is largely known for his 2008 film In Bruges, which we are huge fans of. For this project, CBS Films commissioned several artists to create a poster representing each Psychopath in the movie. Our character poster was for the alluring Olga Kurylenko, best known for her role as a Bond girl in the latest 007 movie, Quantum of Solace.

Our design above is one of 6 posters that have been debuted over the web this week. Below are the remaining poster designs, created by some of today’s most influencial designers such as Doe Eyed and Phantom City Creative. Our poster is a 24″x36″ two color screen print and will be available for purchase in our online store starting this Thursday, October 11th 2012.

THE CONTEST

So why only 6 posters for a movie called Seven Psychopaths? There is currently a design contest which asks fans to cast themselves as a character in the film and create the 7th and final poster. To participate, all original artwork should be uploaded to the Seven Psychopaths Facebook page. For designers and illustrators just starting out, this is a GREAT opportunity to get your foot in the door.
