Glow in the Dark “VS.” Art Print
February 15th, 2012 // Posted by Dan in Art Print, Blog, DKNG Work, Gallery 1988↳ Rollover on the image above to see the print glow in the dark!
Last year’s video game inspired Multiplayer group art show at Gallery 1988 was a huge success, and a whole lot of fun to be a part of. Our submissions last year were inspired by our favorite classic 8-bit arcade games, Pacman and Tetris. We decided to continue paying tribute to the pioneers of arcade by creating a new print celebrating the heroes and villains from ten classic games.
Above is our submission for this year’s show entitled “VS.” The 9″ x 24″ five color screen print has an edition of 200. The colors are super vibrant on the black paper, which was accomplished by overlaying transparent inks over a white under base of the artwork. To top things off, we also printed an additional layer of glow ink to make the print glow like a true arcade game screen.
These prints are now available in our online store. Below are some close up shots of the print including some glow in the dark scenes.

Seeing this is already sold-out makes me want to cry. Checking in on you fine folks a couple times a week just isn’t enough
– There must be SOME godforsaken way to get one of these prints. SOME WAY!!!

PLEASE don’t reprint these. 2nd run really bums out those who jumped early.

p.s. GREAT print, by the way. Super cool looking, and can’t wait to wall it.

As long as any additional run has a micro-print clarifying it as such….It is all good.

Please reprint these. 2nd run really makes happy those who weren’t able to jump early.
