Pee Wee’s Playhouse Comes to Venice

The latest exhibition at Gallery 1988′s Venice location celebrates all things Pee Wee, in their tribute show to Pee Wee Herman’s movies, tv shows, and recent stage play. Our contribution to the show was our print entitled “Tequila”, paying homage to the memorable scene in Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, where Pee Wee wins the hearts of the crowd at a biker bar by performing an original dance to the song ‘Tequila’.
The print allows viewers to learn a few of Pee Wee’s moves themselves with an informative diagram that gives step by step instructions to perform Pee Wee’s signature dance. The print as a 24″ x 18″ 4-color screen print with an edition of 100. Check out some close-up photos below. The print will soon be available for purchase in our store and is on display at Gallery 1988 Venice through August 19.
